Healthcare IT Expert Perficient to Demonstrate Thought Leadership at HIMSS 2012

Perficient to release new Meaningful Use whitepaper in conjunction with conference

ST. LOUIS (Feb. 13, 2012)Perficient, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT), a leading information technology consulting firm serving Global 2000 and other large enterprise customers throughout North America, today announced it will attend the 2012 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition from Feb. 20 – 24 at the Venetian Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. As experts in consumer-driven healthcare technology, Perficient will discuss key information technology solutions that enable a smarter healthcare system that offers better patient care and better business value.

“The healthcare industry is at a critical turning point, undergoing rapid transformation and modernization. Providers and insurers are faced with new regulations and challenges that require the adoption of holistic, business-driven technology solutions that are agile, integrated and interoperable,” said Martin Sizemore, Perficient’s director of healthcare strategy. “Perficient understands health organizations’ issues and, through our partnerships with leading technology innovators like Microsoft, IBM and Oracle, can implement the right solution that enables data sharing between critical systems, collaboration between stakeholders, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.”

In conjunction with HIMSS12, Perficient will release a new whitepaper, “Can Stage 2 Meaningful Use Make Organizations Financial Powerhouses?” This whitepaper details the financial gains health organizations receive from more robust data analysis and reporting requirements under Stage 2 of Meaningful Use, giving the Healthcare CFO the tools needed to make important financial decisions based on actionable information. It will be available via http://www.perficient.com/himss.

Perficient industry experts Martin Sizemore, Steve Nitenson, Susan Clark and Mike Jenkins will be on hand in Perficient Healthcare Booth #1274 to address hot topics facing the industry today including: Regulatory Compliance issues like Meaningful Use, Accountable Care and ICD-10; Collaboration; Health Information Exchange and Interoperability; and Business Intelligence and Analytics.  Specifically, visitors can view a demo of the Health BI solution, an ONC-certified Meaningful Use and ACO reporting solution.

Microsoft and Perficient
In addition, Perficient will participate in the Microsoft Health User Group (MSHUG) Reception on Feb. 20, prior to the HIMSS opening reception, to discuss how companies can use the Microsoft BI stack to manage Accountable Care Organizations.

Perficient, Microsoft’s 2010 Health Provider Partner of the Year award winner, will be available at Microsoft Booth #1629 during HIMSS to demonstrate how the Microsoft BI stack can offer healthcare providers a lower total cost of ownership and robust platform for managing their Meaningful Use reporting, Accountable Care Organization management and advanced analytic needs.

With its recent acquisition of PointBridge, Perficient now has enhanced capabilities around SharePoint/SQL and Epic integration. Experts will be available in both the Microsoft and Perficient booths to discuss custom tools and processes that reduce the risk of pulling data capture within Epic into a SQL database, as well as provider dashboards that help customers more quickly realize value from their investment.

IBM and Perficient
As an IBM Premier Business Partner, Perficient also will have experts available at Perficient’s IBM kiosk in Booth #1274. Visitors can learn how Perficient and IBM are partnering to help organizations gain insights into operational performance to plan accurately and collaborate more effectively with patients, clinicians and payors, and how clients can manage performance and access relevant health-related information, regardless of what system generated the information or where the data resides.

Oracle and Perficient
Perficient, an Oracle platinum partner, will also have experts available at its Oracle kiosk in Booth #1274, to demonstrate how the Oracle WebCenter Suite can be leveraged to bridge the “information gap” between the healthcare provider and patient with innovations in social media, collaborative technologies, tele-medicine, tele-monitoring, and mobile technologies. These innovations can provide healthcare organizations, professionals, and patients with the ability to communicate resulting in cost effective and efficient healthcare service delivery.
