SAINT LOUIS (Feb. 11, 2013) Perficient, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT), a leading information technology consulting firm serving Global 2000 and other large enterprise customers throughout North America, today announced it will serve as the evening event sponsor and showcase its expertise at the Microsoft Lync Conference. The Lync Conference will be held Feb. 19 – 21 in San Diego, Calif., and is the first ever conference dedicated to communications professionals looking to learn and network with the entire Lync community.

Microsoft Lync Server combines voice, instant messaging, audio, video, and web conferencing into a richer, more simplified solution for organizations looking to transform their business communications into more collaborative and engaging interactions. As one of only seven Microsoft Worldwide National Systems Integrator (NSI) Partners, Perficient partners with clients to implement Lync technologies that integrate with client’s current applications and enhance professional communications.

“Enterprise communications have become increasingly complex as more information is readily available to more people and in multiple formats. At a time when access to expertise and knowledge sharing is critical to business success, our clients are looking for ways to harness innovation and improve workforce productivity through improved communication tools and by removing communication barriers,” said Matt McGillen, director of unified communications for Perficient. “Lync is the only application that brings all communications together in a single, simple way for users. With other solutions you find that you need a new username and password, and a different application for everything: phone, IM, audio conferencing, web conferencing are all separate silos. Integrating Lync with current applications enables more seamless and effective collaboration and communication within today’s organizations.”

Newly-Designated Lync Certifications Attest to Client Support and Satisfaction
Perficient recently was named one of 15 Microsoft partners in the United States to receive the Premier Support Lync Partner (PSLP) certification. The PSLP certification designates Perficient as an official provider of Lync solutions and support for clients. In addition to its PSLP certification, Perficient has two Lync Microsoft Certified Masters on staff – Keenan Crockett, and newly-certified Jason Sloan. The MCM certification is an exclusive designation recognizing technical excellence, and Perficient is one of a handful of partners with multiple Lync MCMs.

“For all the great improvements to communication that Lync brings, it does require expertise to do a Lync deployment right. And it doesn’t end there; supporting the environment after Lync has been rolled out is very important to the well-being of our clients,” continued McGillen. “To ensure our consultants can provide the best service and experience to our clients, Perficient has invested in the certification process. With two Lync MCM consultants and our recent PSLP certification, we are proud to be one of very few partners that can provide top-notch support for our clients in the whole lifecycle, not just during deployment.”
