Challenge
The integrity of Cedars-Sinai’s IP system was threatened
by frequent outages and operator errors. A replacement system was
sought that would maximize availability and increase network efficiency.
Solution
After an in-depth analysis of Cedar’s goals
and requirements, Perficient made several operational recommendations.
A thorough evaluation of alternative IP management solutions yielded
a decision to migrate to Lucent’s VitalQIP. Perficient used
a tiered approach to migrate data and replaced the server array
to better fit the new functionality. Vigil-IP was integrated into
the environment to boost reliability and the whole solution was
configured and tested according to strict performance metrics.
