Perficient's Products and Services Enable SOA
Perficient’s business integration practice specializes in
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Service Oriented Architecture
(SOA). Our approach to SOA is supported first by a proven methodology,
the Quick Start Rulebook™ (QSR). This methodology defines
an object-oriented approach to designing integration interfaces,
common business objects, integration domains and the common components
and services to support SOA. Reusable services and design patterns
are defined within the QSR lifecycle methodology.
Through the QSR process and other intellectual property outlined
below, we quickly add value to an organization's SOA efforts by
providing proven, out-of-the-box services for common utility functions
required for SOA.
Quick Start Rulebook
Perficent's Quick Start Rulebook is a comprehensive methodology
for SOA projects. QSR has a business thread to address organizational,
strategic and personnel issues faced when transitioning to SOA.
The technology thread creates reference architecture for architects,
developers and systems administrators that define physical and logical
architecture standards. The methodology thread governs the entire
life cycle of an SOA project, providing proven standards and templates
that are reusable, maintainable and reliable. QSR improves upon
traditional methodologies by addressing specific issues related
to SOA, as well as including many useful and best-of-practice templates
to enforce standards and processes.

Audit Logger
The audit logger is a fully configurable message logger that records
and can replay messages transmitted on the Enterprise Service Bus.
The administrator can configure the messages to be captured and
viewable with a GUI-based message viewer using custom selection
criteria such as date/time, topic, queue and transaction identifier.

Exception Handler
The exception handler provides a standardized service interface
for applications to raise and handle errors. The administrator can
configure the exception handler to define error resolution workflows,
user groups and group level security, and error descriptions. Exceptions
that are not defined by the administrator will be accumulated in
a common error handler, so no exceptions are lost. The exception
handler is a GUI-based application for end users, enabling them
to take corrective actions based on user-defined workflows.
