The firm was using disparate legacy systems that were expensive and difficult to integrate. When it came time to upgrade its communications tools to provide a richer collaboration experience and reduce costs, our client knew it wanted one streamlined provider, and chose Office 365 Enterprise E5 and Skype for Business.

Taking Communications to the Cloud

Shortly after work began, the client acquired two organizations, and the scope and complexity of the project grew. New challenges were presented, including network complexities and bridging architectures of old and new technologies. And what was initially a hybrid deployment was now to be 100% in the cloud. Leveraging our expertise in organizational change management, we were able to outline a global strategy that would migrate the organization completely to the cloud.

Key tasks included:

  • Migration planning and configuration assistance from Exchange Unified Messaging to Exchange Online Unified Messaging
  • Migration of 55,000 global users from on-premises to Skype for Business Online
  • Skype for Business Online PSTN Conferencing for 12,000 users
  • Skype for Business Online Cloud PBX with PSTN calling or on-premises connectivity for 2,000 users
