Perficient Named Google Enterprise North America Search Deployment Partner of the Year

For the second year in a row Perficient recognized for its expertise in enterprise search and successful implementations of the Google Search Appliance

SAINT LOUIS (March 11, 2014) Perficient, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT), a leading information technology consulting firm serving Global 2000 and other large enterprise customers throughout North America, today announced it has been named the Google Enterprise North America Search Deployment Partner of the Year by the Google Enterprise team. The award was presented at the Google Enterprise Global Partner Summit in San Francisco, Calif., and recognizes Perficient for its technical understanding of enterprise search and proven track record of deploying the Google Search Appliance (GSA) for customers.

“With the accelerating rate of content and data creation overwhelming enterprises’ ability to manage, access and analyze information, organizations face frustrated employees and hampered productivity. Deploying an enterprise search solution like the GSA helps enterprises and information workers more quickly find and access real-time business information and enables more informed decision-making,” said Jackie Thorn, Perficient vice president of national and emerging technology solutions. “As one of Google’s partners for GSA projects, we’ve experienced tremendous growth, and client projects are expanding in scope and complexity. Looking forward, we remain committed to enhancing our technical and deployment capabilities to help customers drive cost savings and improve productivity through enhanced search capabilities.”

The GSA provides secure search across all enterprise content, including both internal and external content. It can search web servers, portals, intranets, file shares, content management systems, databases and real-time data in business applications. As a Google Enterprise Search Premier Partner Perficient helps companies across all industries realize the full potential of the GSA by enhancing the search experience, implementing custom connectors to index enterprise content, and by providing training and hands-on assistance.

In 2013, Perficient implemented numerous GSA implementations for organizations across all industries including solutions for a multi-national beverage corporation, a semi-conductor chip manufacturer, a biotechnology corporation, and a global telecommunications provider. Additional 2013 highlights include:

  • Perficient created new and innovative solutions to enhance standard GSA functionality. The practice enhanced navigation to support multi-select checkboxes and hierarchical data, and combined the GSA with Google Maps to visualize and filter coordinate-based results to create functionality found on a standard, Google Internet search.
  • The company focused on creating connectors to ease deployment time and improve accuracy of search for clients. The team created custom connectors for Adobe Experience Manager, salesforce.com, Confluence Wiki, Jira, Google Sites, IBM WCM and IBM Connections, and Plumtree Portal.
  • Four Perficient experts have received the Google Search Appliance Qualified Deployment Specialist certification, which was first offered by Google in 2012. This certification demonstrates the team’s industry-leading technical knowledge and strong understanding of Google’s “best practice” approach to deploying the GSA.

“2013 was a year of tremendous growth and education for the Perficient Google practice,” said Chad Johnson, Perficient’s Google practice manager. “It is an extreme honor to once again receive this award from the Google Enterprise team. Most importantly, I believe it showcases Perficient’s commitment to delivering successful, on-budget and on-time GSA deployment projects for our clients. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Google as enterprise search is a critical component to an organization’s business success.”

“We are proud to provide this recognition to Perficient, who has consistently demonstrated sales, deployment and support excellence to our customers throughout 2013,” said Mark Hodgson, head of Global Partner Programs at Google.
