Perficient's Global Development Center in China Achieves CMMI Level 5

AUSTIN, Texas – May 14, 2008 – Perficient, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT), a leading information technology consulting firm serving Global 2000 and other large enterprise customers throughout North America, today announced that its Global Development Center (GDC) in Hangzhou, China, has achieved the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model ® Integration CMMI® Level 5 certification – the highest rating attainable.

The result of the successful appraisal positions Perficient’s China facility as one of the first IT organizations in the world to achieve CMMI Maturity Level 5 using an Agile Methodology. The CMMI credential demonstrates that Perficient’s China development facility consistently uses a defined set of software engineering processes that are tailored to and utilized on client projects in a systematic, disciplined and quantifiable manner. This enables Perficient’s offshore operations in China to deliver quality and results-oriented outcomes for Perficient clients.

Perficient achieved CMMI Maturity Level 5 through a Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) led by Rayney Wong, a Software Engineering Institute-authorized SCAMPI A/B/C Lead Appraiser.

"Perficient’s team in China is an agile workforce that has demonstrated the ability to handle dynamic project requirements while maintaining the discipline required to develop applications through sound and repeatable processes,” said Wong. “I was impressed with their competence, self-motivation and unwavering focus on delivering meaningful value to Perficient’s clients.”

“Achieving this substantial milestone is the culmination of years of hard work from our colleagues in China,” said Jeffrey Davis, Perficient’s president and chief operating officer. “The external validation of our team, processes and capabilities at the China facility from an esteemed organization like SEI will provide our clients with additional comfort as they consider integrating offshore development into their enterprise technology initiatives. The recognition is also further proof that Perficient’s offshore team is comprised of talented technology professionals who can make meaningful contributions to the complex, business-driven technology solutions Perficient is widely recognized for delivering.”

The Software Engineering Institute is a federally funded research and development center sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense and operated by Carnegie Mellon University‘s Software Engineering Institute. CMMI is a global process improvement model for assessing the effectiveness and maturity of processes used in the development and delivery of products and services. The CMMI framework and associated best practices are used by organizations around the world to guide process improvement.
