Perficient Named IBM 2019 Watson Commerce Business Partner of the Year

SAINT LOUIS (Feb. 12, 2019)Perficient, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT) (“Perficient”), a leading digital transformation consulting firm serving Global 2000® and other large enterprise customers throughout North America, announced it has been named IBM’s 2019 Watson Commerce Business Partner of the Year. The IBM Excellence Award, announced during IBM’s PartnerWorld at Think 2019, recognizes Perficient’s ongoing growth and relationships with key customers, and thought leadership around the IBM Watson Customer Engagement Commerce platform as an integral component for digital transformation.

“Our approach to commerce is focused on crafting a journey, connecting with customers, and delivering a seamless customer experience across channels and throughout the enterprise, imperatives in today’s consumer-driven world,” said Steve Gatto, national sales director, Commerce Solutions, Perficient Digital. “Together, with our clients, we’re transforming businesses in a way that not only drives growth but strengthens their overall brand, and we continually evolve our offerings to keep customers at the top of their game. We’re honored to be recognized by IBM, and we’re looking forward to sharing our innovative solutions during IBM Think 2019.”

Perficient Digital Takes Commerce Solutions Beyond Transactions to Transform the Customer Lifecycle for a Global Diversified Manufacturer
With branded manufacturers and distributors under pressure from the dramatic shift to online purchasing, a global diversified manufacturer sought to digitally transform its commerce business. In partnership with Perficient Digital, the two firms delivered optimized customer sales, up-to-date product information (PIM), and streamlined the ordering process through development of a B2B portal. With the implementation of IBM’s Sterling Order Management System (OMS), and Perficient’s expertise, the diversified manufacturer is future-proofing its business to align with industry trends and market opportunities.

In addition, the company’s OMS will give them greater flexibility in managing complex order management scenarios, greater reliability in order processing and fulfilment, and a cost reduction in implementing across its enterprise. It will further enable the organization to deliver service enhancements to its customers, optimize its pricing, promotion and overall supply chain, increase sales due to better inventory visibility, and reduce costs through improved efficiencies in order visibility.

Perficient Digital Enhances the Online Customer Experience for a Leading Fabric Retailer
In a market that has traditionally depended on brick-and-mortar experiences, a leading fabric and craft retailer was challenged with extending the customer experience online. Perficient partnered with the company to implement an IBM Watson Commerce solution that provided up-to-date visibility of its inventory and better tracking of its product quantity, location, and availability. Utilizing IBM Order Management, Perficient further enhanced the solution through cloud migration that offers a single view of supply and demand, orchestrates order fulfillment processes across Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship-from-Store (SFS), and empowers company representatives to better serve clients both in call centers and in-store engagements.

“Perficient has been deploying IBM Commerce solutions for nearly 20 years, providing end-to-end digital commerce solutions that encompass multiple channels, and deliver seamless and efficient experiences across their entire enterprise,” said Sameer Peera, general manager, Perficient’s commerce practice. “With the recent news that HCL took over development of IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM Web Content Management and Web Experience Factory, our clients continue to engage us for help with their digital commerce strategies. We’re pleased to be their go-to partner as they navigate the changing market landscape and deliver for their customers.”
