Our client is a global software company that develops a cloud computing platform to make users’ interactions with technology efficient, smooth, and frictionless while managing digital workflows for enterprise operations across the world.
Improving Collaboration and File Security
Our client's employees stored and shared personal and group files on OneDrive and had a limited understanding of SharePoint, which has more functionality for collaboration, but not everyone had access.
Over time, employees developed bad habits of sharing files with individuals inside and outside the organization using the “anyone” permission setting. This created risks to the security of the files. Employees needed communication and training on how to utilize the OneDrive and SharePoint in a safe and secure way.
Our organizational change management (OCM) experts were called upon to develop a roadmap for change with shared responsibilities between our client and Perficient.
Developing a Training Roadmap to Ensure Education and Adoption
Our change management experts developed and delivered communication messages and training through short web-based training videos and live instructor-led training sessions to increase understanding of OneDrive and SharePoint.
We partnered with our client’s internal change management and IT teams to develop a self-migration tool and learning portal, using Microsoft Learning Pathways, to connect people to the training resources. This increased the education and adoption of OneDrive and SharePoint to improve collaboration and productivity.

Results
Hands-on-Training Increases Collaboration and Productivity
We piloted a training session with key stakeholder groups, launched the designed learning portal with eight custom web-based training courses, and delivered instructor-led training to approximately 1,000 users in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Internal teams will continue to leverage the web-based training videos, learning portal site, and file migration site to further communicate and educate key stakeholder groups on best practices for OneDrive and SharePoint to increase collaboration and productivity.
