What Is Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Manufacturing?

Consumers prefer a streamlined and frictionless experience when researching and purchasing products, including a digital-first approach to commerce. In response, the manufacturing industry must make their products directly available to their end customers, cutting out the retail middlemen. Ultimately, this shifts the focus away from sales representatives to put the consumer in control.

The D2C market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 15% from 2021 to 2025.*

Using commerce platforms, manufacturers should take a consumer-first approach, providing ease of order processing, management, and checkout, including the integration of financing and trade-in.

While direct-to-consumer is not a new approach, it will not work the same for every manufacturer. A personalized approach is necessary while consistently tending to the consumer’s wants and needs.

Implement digital commerce transformation to improve the customer experience, increase sales, and reach a wider audience.
